I’m a South African journalist writing about travel, investigations, disinformation, and the rise of artificial intelligence in Africa.

I travel extensively to produce first-person narratives from destinations across Africa, Europe and beyond, alongside uncompromising reporting on the realities of modern travel. My travel work, combining lived experience with clear-eyed consumer and industry analysis, regularly ranks among the most-read lifestyle stories nationally.

I write for several of Africa’s leading business and business-adjacent publications, seeking the interesting stories amid the more technical and nuanced finance and companies topics. In 2024, I received a regional Vodacom Journalist of the Year award for an investigation into price matching among South Africa’s largest online retailers.

In 2025, I established South Africa’s only full-time disinformation desk at News24, which I still oversee. Work for this desk won two regional Vodacom Journalist of the Year awards in its first year: one for my investigative reporting that exposed an anonymous global fake news network, and another for a body of work examining disinformation spread about, and from, South Africa.

Alongside editorial work, I occasionally produce commercial content for global brands, applying the same standards of clarity, accuracy and strong storytelling.
