I'm a South African journalist with 20 years of experience. I’m based in Cape Town and cover a range of topics, but typically sway towards travel, business, and debunking disinformation.
My work appears in News24, South Africa’s largest news platform, as well as Financial Mail, Business Insider, and other leading print and online publications. I also often contribute to commercial radio shows to discuss my articles and investigations or talk on topics related to travel or disinformation.
In 2025, I helped establish South Africa's only full-time disinformation and fact-checking desk within South Africa’s most trusted newsroom, News24, while continuing to freelance widely and cover various topics of interest.
In its first year, my work at the disinformation desk picked up two regional Vodacom Journalist of the Year awards, in the categories of Politics and Innovation in Journalism.
In 2026, my OSINT investigation that unmasked a global disinformation network based in India won silver at the World Association of News Publishers Digital Media African Awards and was a finalist in 2026’s Sikuvile Awards.
