I'm a South African journalist based in Cape Town, covering travel, investigations, disinformation, and artificial intelligence in Africa. My work appears in News24, Financial Mail, Business Insider, and other leading publications.
My travel writing combines first-person guides and narrative articles from across Africa, Europe and beyond with consumer and industry analysis. I’ve compared visa costs and access, flight add-ons and exclusions, written guides to rail pass travel in Europe, and compiled guides to the best bank cards for lounge access and foreign payments.
I write articles for various business sections, with a particular focus on reader service and consumer topics. In 2024, I won a regional Vodacom Journalist of the Year award for an investigation into price matching among South Africa's largest online retailers.
In 2025, I founded South Africa's only full-time disinformation desk, within South Africa’s largest and most trusted newsroom at News24. This work won two Vodacom Journalist of the Year awards in its first year: one for an investigation that exposed a global fake-news network and another for a body of work on disinformation spread about and from South Africa.
I also produce commercial content for selected global brands.
