I'm Andrew Thompson, a Cape Town-based freelance writer and photographer.

I write about travel, lifestyle, culture, tech, and business for global magazines, newspapers, websites, and travel guides. Many of these articles include my photography. 

I also appear regularly on commercial radio stations to discuss my articles and specific specialist topics in the technology, business, and travel realms.

On the brand side, I've consulted and written for Uber EMEA, Sage, Shoprite, Checkers, Yoco, Eurail, Peach Payments, Naspers, NanaWall, NETs, and others. In 2020 I conceptualised topics and created all content for the Nedbank Bigger Picture portal, which won an IAB Bookmark Award for Excellence in Digital Content Marketing.
